       Republic day  Republic Day is a national holiday in India that is celebrated on January 26th every year. It marks the day in 1950 when the Constitution of India came into effect, replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India. This day marks the birth of the Indian republic and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism across the country. The main Republic Day celebration takes place in the national capital, New Delhi, where a grand parade is held on Rajpath, featuring a display of India's cultural and military heritage. The President of India, who is also the Chief Guest of the occasion, arrives at Rajpath and unfurls the national flag. A 21-gun salute is also fired in honor of the occasion. The parade culminates with a display of colourful floats representing different states of India, showcasing their culture and traditions.
